The Principal Sales Consultant provides business/technical support in sales presentations, conducts customized product demonstrations, and answers customer inquiries concerning product offerings and technical specifications. This individual will participate in sales calls by evaluating customer needs to deliver winning solution presentations. Activities include showcasing new product functionality and in-depth architecture discussions. This individual will also work to complete RFP responses, proof of concepts, and provide input to the initial implementation approach and duration estimates.

Work with sales executives / business development managers to develop detailed business and technical product presentations and demonstrations for complex sales opportunities.
Develop fully customized operational-focused and vertical-specific product demonstrations of Enkata’s application.
Capability in identifying strategic versus tactical issues within an account and proposing credible approaches.
Create sales assets and productivity tools (presentations, architectural diagrams, demo scripts, competitive positioning, white papers) that can be leveraged by the organization.
Contribute to defining best practices for the sales organization.
Collaborate with Product Marketing to design, update, and revise business presentations and materials.
Interact with Product Development and Engineering teams to provide input from the field for future development activities.
Attend appropriate internal and external training.
Enthusiasm to be a positive change agent and someone who represents both business and technical excellence.
Requirements
Bachelors degree, advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 7-10 years experience in relevant business and technical applications (business intelligence tools, business analysis, call center or service operations, data warehousing).
Successful track record in pre-sales with a software background.
Strong sales skills: needs assessment, positioning, business justification and closing. Have the capability and reputation for winning the tough deals.
Expertise with RDBMS, SQL, HTML, and XML technologies.
Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Exceptional problem solving skills; ability to relate to prospect’s/client’s pains and issues and map them to an Enkata solution.
Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following vertical industries: healthcare, financial services, or telecommunications.
Outstanding team building and mentoring skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to easily communicate with all levels of a prospect/customer organization, from C-level to the technical implementers, and garner credibility across all levels.
